I love roadcases...

Do you think you lost some lower octave SPL because it wasn't on the ground? I still bet you would want another one with a drummer like that, but it might get you by until you have time to build another.

You only ran one O12? How is that stack so tall in your picture?

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

Yup, it is a double buck. Way better bass than I should ever own. It was a 10 year wedding gift from the wife. Sounds way different than my mid 90's spector neckthrough. Both are great. We really haven't replaced the mains yet. Somehow most of our recent gigs have provided pa, but things will change...

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

Both, he might as well have a single 12" cab. It's a really directional cab, and he doesn't turn it up much. We always have PA.

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

Just a quick update - I had another gig in a new bar location. All house FOH. I pushed the subs together, which made a decent place for the monitors, but nothing I could do with the mains. We talked the owner into flying them to get them off the stage. Hopefully soon. Anyhow, as you can see, I have ...

Re: AutoTuba built to specs

It's hard to keep people from retweaking a balanced system in the search for more volume, especially youngsters...they should allow you to disable to 2 band EQ and Loud button on head units after you turn the keys over to the owner...hopefully Junior will keep your settings!

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

My port is just a rectangle cut into the baffle, and I carpeted the front of it. I have the foam under the port as well, glued to the bottom of the inside of the box. Neither box chuffs. The xmax is really barely any different between the two drivers in the grand scheme of things. Maybe round the ed...

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

None. When I first built them, I didn't have enough space between the woofer and the baffle (mine are an old design that fires through a slot baffle), and the cone would slap at boosted EQ levels. I put a spacer in there as a recommended fix and it's been fine for years. I have the same port as the ...

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

I had an outdoor gig with the 2 omni10.5s yesterday. This was the first gig test since I made the switch. I played my Spector neck-through and my GK 1001RB. EQ was flat across the boad, with a little bit of the bass knob cut. No boost. Preamp volume was half, master woofer volume was on at 10 o'cloc...

Re: Omni 10.5 bass stack

I know that you have been a fan of the 3 10s for a long time for electric bass. I can only go down to 4 ohms with this amp. I've been looking around at other amps, some that are 2 ohm stable. Here are a few pictures: 2 omni 10.5s and a GK RBH 2x10 combo http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8ce34b3127c...

Omni 10.5 bass stack

I've decided it's time to write a little review of my omni 10.5s. I have been using them for our band's FOH mains for a couple of years with great results. We usually plays neighborhood bars and outdoor parties, and they work great. We play rock covers. These things have great vocal and acoustic gui...

Re: Omni 15 and Omni Sub

Sounds like you only need one mix then. Well, the auxpander is the only thing I have found besides a really nice board with 4 pre-aux sends that can give 4 separate mixes. You can run monitors, or in ears. This box would have helped so many people, but not many people knew about it, and ultimately, ...

Re: Omni 15 and Omni Sub

Bgavin, This might be what you are looking for for the DI setup: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/229179-REG/Shure_AUXPANDER_AUXPANDER_8x8_Aux.html# -They are showing it discontinued, but I just picked one up a month or two ago. You can find them around. They are very clean and I got mine here ...
