Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Thats great to read - Them OT12's look very straightforward, and although I no longer have a volvo to use as a workbench (I've had 2x V70's) im sure I can manage to build some of these in the garden on a bench! I'll leave the DR's till we have bought a new house with a garage/workshop where I can ta...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

No way I'd have the skills to go for DR's!

Is there a massive difference between them and the second best?

Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Europe.

There are a few that pop up with that search all of which are available locally to me https://www.screwfix.com/p/evo-stik-polyurethane-wood-adhesive-310ml/40778?tc=IB7&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyoi8BhDvARIsAO_CDsBxZ3njWCVabrR7VXDigbfi0z8KUlYm0RBMjs-ArFOwW2jhESFcYPIaAnvVEALw_wcB&gclsrc=a...

Back to the top after nearly 5 years!

I'm struggling to find Loctite PL over here in the UK, I remember using something like Lumberjack for my Titans 13+ years ago - Just wondering if theres anything new on the market thats recommended

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

I think I've decided! As I am limited as to where I can build anything (Its looking like it will be in the garden) I will struggle to make anything complicated as I wont have the space to leave it and walk away for any period of time then come back to it! So I think I am going to go for a pair of Tu...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

My plan of using my space didn't work sadly. It was a commercial unit I was renting that was just for storage ultimately and when the price of the rent increased it just wasn't worth while keeping on, and everything went in a shipping container at a fraction of the cost of the unit. Sadly. But I fin...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Laminater came out this evening. Printed out some plans. Laminater died. Hope it's not a sign.... Uncovered my big box of Monacor tweeters that I bought back along for a melded array.... Whilst looking around Facebook Marketplace a nice Lab Gruppen PDX3000 amp popper up. Haven't dived too much into ...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Yeah I think the OT12 might just be within my scope! The MPX range seem to have dried up. Can't seem to see any about. What are todays choices? What are the choices for "booth" monitor? Not something I've ever had but something a friend demanded once when he went in the mix. Wedge10? Oh an...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Just a quick question regarding limiter/cross/eq

I had a DCX2496 and DEQ2496 with ECM8000 RTA mic. Behringer doesn't have the best name for durability, and back then I couldn't afford the DBX.

The DBX looks like an all in one box solution? Does it all rather than having 2 devices?

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

I did love my T39s to be fair and so did everyone else except the venue owners of the two parties I did. One had 4 bedrooms over the function room, which I told the manager was stupid, it should be sound blocked at least. His reply was "it is, it's not the volume you can hear its the feeling of...

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

I had a JBL MPX 1200 to power the T39's but never actually got the amp set past half way, so I think the depth would be better.

I'd like to get them through a doorway

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Hey Tom..... my personal favourite, 90s/00 "Classic" Trance I love a bit of Binary Finary, Lange, Space Brothers, Signum etc But would also be used for 60/70/80/90/00 pop chart stuff as I'd probably be taking on the role of family birthday wedding new year party DJ (can't be arsed anymore ...
