I use aux in and I push the volume, sound was lound and clear (through TC ELECTRONICS BQ250) Then I try with 2 bass, the only difference was the output power of the bass but with the same final sound level I have the same effect. Re: Jack build European material

Hey Guys,

I am in trouble, when I push the sound a lot with lot of low frequencies, I can heard parasite noises like "BZZZZ". I will check the cable tight and the crossover plate if I can add stiffer fixation... May you have other ideas of what can give those parasite noises ?

Re: Jack build European material

1 no tweeter, 1 low tweeter (4 ohm resistance in serial on the high pass filter input), 1 full tweeter (direct input on the high pass filter If you're saying what I think you're saying don't do that. There is a 4 ohm resistor in the high pass filter. Another 4 ohm resistor in series with it will ha...

Re: Jack build European material

It is what I thought when I saw them and the tinny size VS the 5.7 muF (which is MKP 400VDC)

I will buy the same type than 5.7 muF: 15 muF MKP up to 400VDC (I think it is close to 200 VAC)

Re: Jack build European material

Hey guys I move on the build, I use 4 tweeters and I fix them with screws. I use rigid 1.5² section cable to wire them together (With rigid wires it is easier to weld cause wires do not move) I also start the filters. I can see the capacity I have (15 mu F) is only 35V (instead 400 Vfor the 5.6 mu F...

Re: Jack build European material

Hey Guys Some news. I start my Jack 10 builds. I find plywood 12 mm tick (I bought a 2.5 x 1.22 m for 40 €, but the quality was poor and the sheet delaminates ... fortunatly I can save half to build the jack) For your info I found glue with same specs than loctite PL : Bostic "EXTERIEUR BOIS EX...

Re: Jack build European material

Thanks for the quick feedback Regarding plywood, I will wait. In fact it is possible to find 12 mm but just during next weeks it is not possible due to the lockout ( :cop: ) I maybe train to my wood machining skills with the 15 mm then do the real job in few weeks with 12 mm one.. I do a quick calcu...

Jack build European material

Hey, I am starting to build my frist jack 10. In located in France. First I have a question about plywood tickness : in Bill's doc, he asks to use 1/2 inche = 12 mm plywood. With the lockdown we have here, I have difficulties to get some, but in my own stock 15 mm tick one -> Is it a big issue to us...
