Re: Do the "rules for subwoofer placement and stacking" apply to T45

Very good. My last curiosity is regarding this concept of the wall or corner somehow 'extending' the mouth of the horn. Seems somewhere i read that wall or corner loading kind of makes the mouth bigger- maybe similar to the v-plating? This is why I was asking about distance to the wall. It seems tha...

So the majority of the photos in the guide show V-coupling. So, you are saying that I can V-couple the t45's?

Do the "rules for subwoofer placement and stacking" apply to T45

Hi Bill, I have been using my pair of T45s several times a month for Djed dance events. I have been wall loading them perpendicular to the wall with the mouths facing the wall, about a foot away, side by side. So I just took a look at the post https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=398 T...

Help- Tuba Butt Joint Repair

Hi All, My tuba 45 has one butt joint on the outer edge coming loose. It’s the 45” edge on the “top”. All the Acrytex has fallen off and when being played I put my finger on the joint and I can feel the joint moving a couple mm but there is no air leak- just the PLP glue flexing but I’m concerned th...

Hello Everyone, I'm wondering at what voltage to limit my B&G 12BG76 inside a Tuba 45. Yes, the volume of the sealed, inner portion of the Tuba is halved to accommodate the parameters of this driver. I have attached the datasheet, as this drivers' power handling specs are just as cryptic as any ...

Re: Single Best Piece of Advice EVER

I just corner loaded my two tuba 43’s for the first time this weekend. 1200sqfoot oblong venue with the tubas firing at 45 degrees towards a brick wall corner. And OMFG it’s loud. Super overkill near the tubas but solid sound quality bass thruout the room. Equed it pretty flat down to 30hz using REW...

Re: T45 Driver advice

So, what should I have these parameters set to? Should I just set to “auto” and leave alone or is there a more optimal setting? No one can tell you what settings to use. You MUST use a voltmeter on the power amp output while playing a 60hz test tone with your mixer output run up to unity and your p...

Re: Tuba 45 Build

But really, I’m impressed with how low the t45 plays and how much output and control it has at low frequencies. These two T45s were the prototypes and now that we have confirmed that we are happy with the sound we Will probably build a batch of another 4-8 T45s later this spring.

Re: Tuba 45 Build

Now you can imagine what the T60 will do. :hyper: Yes! I’m actually dreaming of creating a T90... doubling the scale of the T45 for an almost 8’x 4’ x 4’ Tuba. Build with 3/4 BB ply. Would fit perfectly as a permanent build into a 4x8 trailer. Load with two high-excursion 15” woofers and have rack ...

Re: Tuba 45 Build

+6dB is four times the power. So long as the voltage limit isn't exceeded that's OK, but it will skew the response away from where most bass content lies, which is between 50 and 70Hz. Yes- high passed at 30hz 48db butterworth. Playing test tones at 25, 30, 35 and not exceeding the voltage limit at...

Re: Tuba 45 Build

MIND BLOWN! Dang these things sound good! And loud! Haven’t gigged with them yet but they sound great and powerful in the living room. Might even sound better than my old ACI Titan II Le. They really have that concert bass sound like horns that professionals use at large concerts. Sound is clean and...
