Re: Amp(s) for small venue

I'd be more inclined to go the T45 route, loaded with 12" drivers. This, however, forces the cab to be a minimum of 15" wide, which doesn't fit into your scheme of 13" under the stage. Are you limited to the area below the stage? Is it possible to use corners away from the stage? This would give you...

Re: Amp(s) for small venue

About the T24 cabs, I don't think that they will keep up with the TLAHPro. As seen in the charts , it takes a V-plated pair of 16 " cabs to put out 100 db, which happens to be the average output of a single TLAHPRo. Combine that with the fact that the TLAHPro has output down to 60 hz, and, sub frequ...

Re: Vasubandu's Sub of Insanity

Vasubandu , rather than building a cylinder you could dress/decorate the sub to become part of the "artwork".

Obsessive compulsive audiophiles unit. It’s a beautiful thing, that the rest of the world does not understand. It’s funny my wife always gets an ear full about the sound everywhere we go live shows or movies it does not matter, she says that I have ruined her because new she does it, she can’t help...

Re: Vasubandu's Sub of Insanity

What you could do is build the THT according to the plans, and then add the sections needed to make it appear as if it were a cylinder.

Re: T39 Slim Access panel flange question

I have gone through my plans, and through Sketchup, and have not found the 3/8" difference. The lower flange is the same width and the same length for a 10" driver regardless of cab width. All of the flanges are of the same thickness, some are wider, some are narrower depending on the location of th...

Re: Simplexx 110 Build

Rotate the bass knob(s) down to lower levels since this is where most of the power is being used. By lessening the bass there is more power available for the other frequencies. The more audible/distinguishable frequencies are in the 2nd harmonics and up (above 100 hz).

Re: Simplexx 110 Build

That's a pretty cool wrap! What is the significance behind the numbers? Thank you very much. The overall background design is based on a German freight rail car so some of those numbers are just lifted from tare weights etc. . . The rest of the numbers are from my life, birthdays, deaths, anniversa...

You might want to plug a cable into the old cab, and then jumper the tip and the sleeve.
