Re: NSD:2005 Buzz/Distortion

Are you able to locate which cab is doing it? If you can, run only that cab and do frequency sweeps from below, to above the crossover point to cause it to happen. At that point you should be able to figure out which exact frequency is causing it, and run that frequency to locate the noise.

Re: Best Tuba for music in large room

OH! 67baja reminded us of your large room! +1 to his comments.

Yes, the THT can be laid down. However, corner-, or wall-loading will give you some free db's. The THTLP can be laid down, standing on end, or raised off the floor to put the mouth facing the floor and standing on end.

Re: Best Tuba for music in large room

Welcome to the forum! A pair of TableTubas would work wonders in your room for HT, and yet it will be great for music, as well. . As you may know, there are two different styles to choose from, as well as being able to change the width of both of them. Wider is better. The 10" option is for the TT o...

Re: Titan 39 Build

Hey, there you go!
Are you going to batch out the rest?
Consider that the driver is on the inside of the chamber lines. That would mean that you place the panel on that line so that the chamber stays the same size, and then draw along the other side of the panel (which would be the outside).

Enjoy your build!

I answered your question in the other thread. It would be best to continue here, and ask the remaining build questions here, as well.

Re: THT/LP New

Almost, except that the depth is non-negotiable; the depth has to be 18". The width is the variable, and it appears that you have chosen it to be 21". In the picture it shows that #12 is the back. I would eliminate that, and add one more to #11 so that you will have two sides instead of one. Also, d...

Re: THT/LP New

Down-load Cutlist from Delphi, it's free but a donation to them would be nice. With Cutlist you can input the size and number of supply sheets, and from there input the pieces that you need, and hit "calculate". This can show you how many sheets you will actually need, or, how many and what sizes th...

Re: Tuba weights?

5-ply plywood as a minimum, 9-ply being the preferred.
I haven't weighed any so I can't pass on any info there.

Re: THT/LP New

Guess what! You don't need MDF, unless you don't like moving things. The plans call for 1/2" plywood of multiple veneers (between 5 and 9), which is plenty.

Re: THT/LP New

Welcome to the forum! Yes, the THT is an awesome sub, with plenty of clarity, and uses little power in comparison to other subs. Are you able to use a measuring tape/ruler? (Use only one for consistency throughout the build) Your table saw has the degrees built in. The plans have all the measurement...
