Re: MCM 55-2981 in the autotuba?

Is it within 10 % of the values of the driver in the plans?

BTW, welcome to the forum!

If you mean like the top picture on the sales page https://billfitzmaurice.info/AutoTruckTuba.html , then, yes that one.

Re: autotuba design and position in a 1998 subaru forester?

Hi, and welcome to the forum! I have used an AT in both a Volvo 740 wagon, and an Aerostar, and both times it was at a side with the mouth facing the tailgate (about 4"). This is the preferred method, but you can experiment. You can also experiment with the lo-pass, as well, to find out what sounds ...

Re: A video about a HORN!

Oh, I know. But still, I think it's interesting, especially, like Strange Kevin said, the test of the speed of sound.

Re: Tuba 45 T45 Weight & driver question

Plus most of those harmonics are above the low-pass of the subs - you can definitely hear it through my rig when a modern song has employed those techniques during it's recording/mixing/studio process. The "real" bass seems to goes away when they play. One night I literally thought I had blown my s...

Re: Tuba 45 T45 Weight & driver question

I can't speak to the weight, but someone else can.
The cab response is basically the same regardless of driver.
Rather than putting a T45 upright with the mouth facing up (no, no), have the mouth face down... the cab being raised off of the floor.

Re: Question about Onkyo 7.1 receiver

First question: is this occuring regardless of input?

Second: are the speakers connected properly on the receiver? (I know, dumb question, but...)

Third: when setup with mic was performed, where the B speakers on instead of the A speakers?

Re: Running tubas

No, do not increase voltage.

FYI, when another cab is plugged into the first one, the impedance goes down...and that results in increase in current flow....which means more watts from the amp.

Re: SLA Pro weight

Seems like it might be a reasonable carry to/from the vehicle to put a strap handle across the top and carry the pair, one in each hand. The side ports look like they may be handy for lifting them onto the pole. Anyone else with an opinion or experience carrying these around? Also, how do they actu...

Re: SLA Pro weight

I did a rough calculation of 1.5 lb/ft2 times roughly 6.4 ft2 for a total of roughly 10 lbs. Add 20 1/2 lbs for drivers, and another couple of pounds for wiring, filters, stuffing, tweets, ...and you get 33 lbs.

Welcome to the forum!
Build the THT or THTLP if you want, you can lay the THTLP down or stand it up. (Standing up allows for a smaller footprint, and you can decorate it to become a piece of art.)(of course, similar could be said of the THT).
