Re: Corners on DRs or Jarrays??

This is what I've done on some W6s that I've built. I set the table saw blade just high enough so that it would almost graze the inside of the corner. This was quite a while ago. I may have built a jig to hold the corner.

Re: Finally Starting the Theater Build

Make a drum sander for your drill. Take your hole cut-outs and stack and glue them together to make a drum. In the centre of the stack, drill a hole and insert a length of threaded rod (ready-rod, all-rod) and fasten it at both top and bottom of the stack, leaving some length to put in a drill chuck...

Re: Simplexx 18 vs T39 slim

The Qts is a titch out of range at .473, but, the Xmas is way too short at 2mm. Will it work? Yes, but not nearly as well as a driver with the correct specs for a Simplexx18.

Got it. I will stick with the THT and will make 2 36'' wide in add of my 24'' wide THT. Thanks again for the help and to clarify.
:D
I'm confused. I thought you wanted narrow cabs such as around 15".
Will 36" wide cabs fit through all your doorways?

Re: Unfold a tuba ht

Stick with the THT. Build the narrow ones for where you need the narrow cab, and use wide ones where you have the room. Don't think of the width as what is to be used for upper and lower bass. Wider cabs will offer more output of the low end.

Welcome to the forum!

Piezos sound fine. I don't want to say that you "should" go for ribbons but a forum member put them in his DR200s. Here is a video of them.

Re: Tlah pro build

Welcome to the forum!

How big is your room? TLAHPros are intended for larger rooms, and used as a PA speaker. The regular TLAHs are plenty for a living room /HT room.

In regards to the base, it's in the plans on how to make it a floor-stander.

Re: Pair of Omnitop 212s and Titan 39s

Glad that you are enjoying your build. How many braces are at the panels? It appears that you only have one at the back panel, whereas I think there should be 2 if not 3. Also, I can't see any braces between panel 4 and 6, and there should be at least one. The braces keep the panels from vibrating, ...
