Re: First Build : Plywood Sourcing Challenges

So Baltic Birch has No veneer? One could say that BB has veneers, but, the key distinction is that BB doesn't have paper-thin veneers. Often, different types of plywood have a paper-thin veneer and are then called Maple, Oak, Walnut, Baltic Birch, and yet the core plywood is not that particular typ...

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

This link will show the 3012LF in two different width cabs. Lab12 response will be quite similar. Lab12 was an option when Neodimium was in shortage, but the Lab12 is considerably heavier. There is no sonic advantage to the Lab12.

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

I thought I would put this out there. Unfortunately, there is no chart to a 12" driver in the T30.
T30 to be high passed at 35hz, T39, at 45hz, and T48 at 40hz.

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

A T48 is massive, and rules out future plans for deploying the tops and subs as a smaller standalone PA system for open deck nights, etc. jHands, I was wondering if you were planning on running on running one sub under each top...sort of a Left and Right. That's correct. T30's likely to have OT8's ...

Re: All the gear, and no idea

What l noticed about the site was the LF was super strong ahead of the stage, l had to pull it down 12db to find a balance, but behind.. there was next to none! I noticed this, as well, when I went to see this.... https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26480 which had 4 T48s per side. I...

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

JHands, welcome to the forum! If you are considering a pair of T24s, I am wondering if you consider a 12" loaded T48, 24" wide if possible, Lay it down on the cart with the driver end at, or behind the axle. Then, place the top in the appropriate location on top of it to balance out the lo...

Re: Best driver for Titan 48, and how do I determine optimal crossover freq?

In regards to how high up to run the subs, it is recommended to be below 120hz, or lower, since above that region one will be able to locate where the sub is. In your instance, you could run your tops down to 80-85hz, and have the subs run up somewhere near that point. Where that point is will be up...

Re: T39 maintenance

I used my phone and video-recorded the insides wherever I could to see how things looked and if anything needed attention. At the end of the "research", I committed to the PU adhesive on the final side since I couldn't find any other source.
