Re: Titan48 driver question

Thank you very much for your reply Grant. I know that the 4 Ohm version in series in one cab will need a lot of amp power. But this isn't unrealistic if you will have a look to the new Powersoft X4L which should deliver over 4 kW @ 8 Ohm. But you are right with the question "is it worth all the back...

Re: Titan48 driver question

[...]It's more practical with neo 12s, but if size isn't a problem you get more bang per buck with fifteens. I'm sorry Bill, I think that my first post could give the impression that I want the most bang per buck because I wrote the prices for the Faitals here in europe. But that isn't the case. I'...

Re: Titan48 driver question

Hi Rich, you're right. The Lab12 has higher Vd than the Faitals. So am I right that a Lab12 with a Vd of 658,71 by 400 W is more efficient than a driver with relatively the same Vd but with a higher power rating because the Lab12 has this high displacement with a much lower voltage? In the plan is w...

Re: Titan48 driver question

Hi Bill, yes I know that's the reason for asking about these two drivers because the Vd of the FaitalPro 12RS1066 (16 Ohm) is 617,5 cm3 and of the FaitalPro 12HP1060 (4 Ohm) is 644,9 cm3 plus the higher voltage limit. My question now is if these drivers are suitable for a double 12" Titan48 and if t...

Titan48 driver question

Hi guys, first of all sorry if this question was asked in the past but I didn't find a topic with these drivers. I was surfing in the www and asked myself if the following FaitalPro drivers would be a good choice for a Titan48: 12HP1060 (4 Ohm) https://faitalpro.com/en/products/LF_Loudspeakers/produ...

Re: Possible DeltaPro 8 replacement?

I was also looking for a replacement for the Delta. But like Grant said, we need the response curve of the eminence speakers. So for me the only replacement is the Beta, if you ask me. And the Beta has only a few dBs less than the Delta but the same response behavior. I asked in the past if it's pos...

Re: What's to chat about?

... and the Lab 12 is also 450watts (50 v, but 6 ohms), yet achieves 13mm xmax /659cc Vd, vs. 450 watts getting 10mm/531cc Vd for the 18 Sound using Bill's estimated figures. So, it seems it would be the king of output potential and efficiency. maybe? Dunno, just thinking out loud. This questions I...

Re: Update on best drivers to replace Delta Pro 8?

Hi all,

I would like to ask if it's possible to mix Delta Pro 8A and Beta 8 in a stack of DR200s.

I think this would be interesting for all who have DR200s with Delta Pro but burn them by mistake and have to replace them with Betas.

Thank you.

Re: Update on best drivers to replace Delta Pro 8?

I think the best alternativ for the Delta Pro 8A is the Beta 8. Yes the Beta has less sensitivty but it has the flat frequency response from 100 Hz to 2 kHz which the Delta has. If you are looking for speakers within the parameters nearly every speaker hasn't the flat response like the Eminence spea...

I can say that the european market is nearly empty und Adam Hall doesn't import them anymore. Although Eminence has enough in stock...

Re: Deformation of Piezos

Yes, I think that something in the manufacturing process went wrong, too. I wrote to goldwood and they will talking to an engineer. Goldwood told me that for my problem I have to find a solution with parts-express because I didn't order from goldwood. I think that the small deformation wouldn't be a...

Re: Deformation of Piezos

I wrote to the sales team of parts-express and waiting for feedback.

But maybe I should check the warranty options of goldwood, too.

Thank you Seth.
