Re: Last gig outdoors this summer

Hi! I rarely come to this site nowadays thanks to my computer that wont open it by some strange reason.... Apologizes for the late input! I saw how you have arranged your subs and I noticed that you wrote something about a mixer but I dont know if you've applied any appropriate processing for the sy...

Re: TLAHs with JVC 3x5s and 1016 piezos

I would have oriented them horizontally, less space between the center to minimizes combing. Vertically they have wider midrange dispersion, and there's no such thing as combing with vertical sources. OK, I must not be understanding something. I thought there was some constraint dealing with the re...

Re: 8x T39's

Weight of each driver is well over 10Kg so they arn't easy to handle themselves, but the magnet is HUGE and the constrution very solid. Would be nice if they weighted as much as the deltalite 2512 in my OT12's but one cant have everthing, and I'm guessing if they did I definitely wouldn't be able t...

Re: 8x T39's

So to start the project out appears that you cut every piece needed including the finish angle and then your going to construct?? I considered such a method as I'm about to begin 4 t30s and it seemed like a good way to go Generally, it's not. Every plywood has it's own thickness, generally a bit of...

Try to break in the driver now. The response will improve a lot if you do.

Nice looking cabs! I can't tell that you struggled with them. :)

By the time one has 4 cabs per side one should think about getting another amp to be able to powershade the array anyways so I don't think it's a problem.

Re: Introducing SPL Chart

This chart might give you and idea of what the 3012HO can give in sensitivity you over the 2512 driver. It's not the OT but still.. http://billfitzmaurice.net/images/SPL/Jack12/2512-3012 That together with the higher powerhandling and longer X-max and you've definately got a better driver. Bill woul...

Re: Doh. Got some cardboard mockups, now not sure what to b

it seems like I'd have to honk my horn every other minute to scare the mountain goats away from the path of packed dirt that I'm driving on :D Wait, you DON'T have to do that? I've driven in Belgium, Italy, Germany, and Hungary. Tiny roads abound (but I always had tiny cars, too!) I've never ...

Re: Doh. Got some cardboard mockups, now not sure what to b

I'm kind of surprised that trailers are the norm in Europe. Seems your tiny roads and non-existent parking wouldn't be conducive to owning a trailer. I'm not talking for the whole of Europe :) Here in Kalmar in Sweden stuff gets stolen but it's very, very, very rare. Ofcourse, it's a matter of how ...

Re: Doh. Got some cardboard mockups, now not sure what to b

If you've got a Tahoe why not just get a little 5x10 enclosed trailer and be done with it. You can probably find one for less than a grand if you look around. +1 Over here it's 95% cars and trailers in this business. I've been amazed many times by guys that want to buy vans or even trucks before tr...

Re: Doh. Got some cardboard mockups, now not sure what to b

How about two 18" wide and two 30" wide? For your smallest gigs you could bring one 18" wide cab. If you need more you can bring one 30" wide cab. If you need a little bit more than that bring the two 18" wide cabs. If you need a little bit more still just V-plate them. All ...
