That's one I'd never thought of. Thanks :D

Wahey, they're finished!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: T39 - 19.JPG Driver in, just prior to leak testing T39 - 20.JPG Closeup of one of the drivers. They're Eminence OEM's branded as American Sound. They spec out pretty similar to the BP102-4, but with a bit lower power handling. T39 - 22.JPG All close...

Re: T39 Slim x2

Thanks for the props guys - got a couple of coats of tuffcab over most of the pair today, so should be finished soon :hyper:

Hopefully, they'll be ready in time for their debut at a gig I'm doing next Sunday - live band and disco for a christening do. I'll post a review thread then.

Re: T39 Slim x2

Perfection around here is "well braced and airtight". I hear you dude, let me assure you those braces are going nowhere. Anyhow, here's how things lie currently T39 - 12.JPG Hi-tech clamping apparatus in use  T39 - 13.JPG Finally got 'em closed up. T39 - 17.JPG All rounded over, ...

Re: T39 Slim x2

I copied the picture of your cab and blew it up,it looks like there are area's where you dont have squeeze out on some area's of your braces unless you cleaned up the squeeze out.If not it would be best to make sure you seal those braces before you seal it up or your cab may rattle.Looks good thoug...

Re: T39 Slim x2

How's the build coming along Alien? Slowly. Didn't get much done during the week (life getting in the way again), then rain stopped play a bit this weekend. Here's the current state of things: T39 - 8.JPG Back on and braces fitted. T39 - 10.JPG Spot the deliberate mistake... I forgot to add on the ...

Re: T39 Slim x2

Can you tell me why there's only one 3-5 brace though? Are you referring to the pic with the brace at the top (pic 1 from day 2)? It wasn't fixed there, I was just using it to hold the panel in the right place. The cabs are 13" wide, so they only need the one brace. I spot a very heavy looking...

T39 Slim x2

Well, finally, here we are - my first BFM build. These are going to be loaded with some Eminence OEM's that are pretty similar to the BP102-4. I'm building the pair simultaneously, so the pics apply to both cabs. T39 - 1a.jpg Day 1's work - chamber completed. T39 - 2a.jpg Plenty of squeeze out T39 -...

[quote="Scott Brochu"]How do other manufactures handle there wheels that vibrate?

Most of the guys I know just wrap some thin string round one end of the axle - the casters dont spin quite so freely but they don't rattle much either.

Re: Guitar amp suggestions

Tough question, as tone is so subjective. Couple of questions to help narrow things down: What style of music does she play? Not too many metallers use Fender Twins, conversely, you're unlikely to see a Soldano in a country blues band. How much better are you looking to go? Is she going to be giggin...
