Good thing I was going to check with you before I started building:) Would you recommend the T24 underneath if I wanted to hit the fundamental/give the low end a real boost? lowsound That will work fine and likely sound great... as long as you remain cognizant of the caveats of having sub bass on t...

I have a cheap rechargeable circular saw from Harbor Freight that does just fine on 1/2" plywood. Bought it four years ago for $20 and it hasn't had any trouble. Battery isn't lithium ion though, but I can get through a couple sheets worth. Its now $30: http://www.harborfreight.com/18-volt-5-12...

Awesome! The video makes it obvious how well you can hear in just about every location in the venue; very little deviation in sound quality. No bad seat in the house!
Love the way the arrays look flown!

If you score (ie cut) the line before you try cutting with the jig saw, or any saw for that matter, you will greatly reduce the chip out. You don't have to cut deep either. lowsound That works as does just putting down masking tape first then drawing the design. Cut right through the tape. Also, th...

Re: First Build - A Single JBL 804 16" AutoTuba
I was a bit annoyed as I found the jigsaw blade tears at the ply causing these chunks to be ripped off. I found it helps if you score the wood with a knife before cutting. Putting masking tape on one or both side of the cut helps prevent splintering when cutting with a jigsaw, circular saw or table...

They also seem to play very well with the T18... Like they are a good match.... although I can imagine the t18 would be left behind a little watching a loud film with lots of low frequency content. If your HT mains, center and surround out-power the T18, you could supplement it with a tactile trans...

Most people run their tops on a single channel. But bi-amping makes it possible to time align the Hi's to the mid. Good point, I had not considered this. I haven't noticed a need to time align the tweets to the mid driver. What sort of delay timing would you use? 1ms since its only at most a 2-3 fo...
