Wedding at the wildflower center in Austin, Texas last weekend.
Inside setup: One SLA pro (Dayton drivers), one T39-20" with 3012. Outside (through open door) the other SLA.
In summary...it was more than enough. For the dance at the end there was plenty of volume. The indoor space was very reverbarant but the pattern control of the SLA made it totally reasonable once there were some bodies on the floor!

Re: SLA pro wedding
I bet that flagstone walkway, high heels, and alcohol made for some interesting sights to see.
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

There was a bit of wobbling on the heel-wearing crowd, yeah! |) We didn't lose any though!CoronaOperator wrote:

I'm glad you are happy with how the gig turned out.
I have to ask: in the 2nd picture, where we can see the SLA, is that you standing underneath and to the right? I ask not to ID you, but to get a feeling as to why your SLA is so high up in the air, only to be pointed at the floor 15-20' in front of it? I would lower the stand, so you are looking straight at the bottom-most driver, and have it pretty much perpendicular to the floor.

OP, are those K&M Speaker Tilts underneath the SLA Pro?
If so, how do you like them?

That's my partner, who was MC/DJing. I aimed it that way because I was thinking ahead to when we'd be doing the dance and the folks would be up there in front of the lights. For the rest of the evening, yeah, it would have made sense to be less angled.DJPhatman wrote:I have to ask: in the 2nd picture, where we can see the SLA, is that you standing underneath and to the right?
