The PWR-DSP3 answers the needs for a high power yet high quality plate amplifier module. Based on the innovative technology from DSP4YOU and PASCAL Audio, the module is a turnkey solution for multi-way powered speakers. Third generation Class-D amplification, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and the Audio Video Bridging (AVB) are just examples of the embedded technology of this breakthrough plate amplifier module.
With an impressive maximum rating of 2400W (ch1) and 700W (ch2&3), expect no compromises on audio quality from this first class plate amplifier. From studio/Hifi speakers to Pro-A/V applications, its passive cooling design does not require any fan. Enjoy silence, Enjoy music.
Last but not least, the optional Audio Video Bridging (AVB) allows streaming of multiple uncompressed, low latency and synchronized audio channels of over Ethernet networks. Extended cable length, noise immunity and flexible routing are the obvious advantages of AVB. From real time amplifier health monitoring (Load, temperature, clip) to live changes of the DSP settings, the PWR-DSP3 is powered by Zeroconf for true Plug & Play configuration over standard Ethernet or Wifi networks: Plug, discover, control!

They look damn interesting for small pro setups. That is a lot of power kicking round there.

Re: New DSP Amplifier from Minidsp!
As was mentioned before, these look really similar to the Digmoda amps Leland carries. The ethernet business sounds interesting, but I would want to see some detailed specs. Is the wattage rating "Peak" meaning 1200 and 350 RMS?
Pretty cool either way. If I had had more vision when I began I would have invested in some Digmoda amps.

Bigger power than digmoda. Same ball park on price. Any info on the dsp package?
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

Re: New DSP Amplifier from Minidsp!
From what little I know about amp specs I think a Damping factor> 1000 @ 8ohms is weak for the price. I realize the DSP is the $$$ factor but it is still an amp. Most guys run a 4ohm load which raises the factor and so does cable size and length. I'm not sure how much that would affect the audio signal but why push it.
These are definitely purposed for powered cabinets @ 8 ohms.
Correct me i'm wrong.

Re: New DSP Amplifier from Minidsp!
It appears that none of the plugs have limiters. If they would add that to the software it would be a pretty nice little DSP for under $200.

Re: New DSP Amplifier from Minidsp!
I would plan on it having limiters. This company seems bent pleasing it's customers, which is very rare nowadays. If enough people request an added feature they usually include it in form of a free downloadable update.
I read that it can be controlled via wifi or cable, but I'm not sure if it would stream music over wifi as well. I really would not mind spending the $700 for two with all the bells and whissles, but just one may be overkill for even four drs and four tubas.
