Helle there,

I know that this is not a "follow the plan" question, but I'm not scared to ask :) I know that this option has less dispersion and that it costs more. I'm just wondering if it can be done and if there are advantages.

Is it possible to make a wedgehorn 8 with a compression driver and and factory horn like these:

What are the problems to expect? Do you have to place the horn vertical or horizontal? Will the sound from the woofer come thru?

Here's a sketchup drawing. If you want to see other angles, I can make them.

If there were it would be an option. The use of compression horns is one of the main faults with commercial wedge monitors.
