Is your Denon Receiver also a powered multi-channel surround sound amp? If so, what wattage?

 Re: New T18 build
I suggest you look into the Dayton 240w plate amp. I got mine for $109 i believe, and I'm glad I did rather than the 70watt or 100watt that sell for a lil cheaper.

 Re: New T18 build
I use the Dayton 240w plate amp with the built in +6dB/octave bass boost. It is in place for my HT system and works great with AT and T18 style horns.
The amp is as well built as one can expect from CCS, and runs quite cool to the touch. The controls are smooth and variable crossover / loudness controls are effective.
I would own this amp again, anytime.

i have had the first version of this from many many years ago and it still rocks. it has powered everything from seal to ported to horn subwoofers without a complaint.

 Re: New T18 build
check out my post under amps titled foster wf-100k plate amp, have not tested it yet but it went in some high end NHT subs and at 115w into 4 ohms it should be enough power, when I put 100w into a t18 it is really loud!

 Re: New T18 build
I have six of these amps. I too haven't tested it yet but my plan is to bridge two of them to have three 220watt amps. Pretty good deal at only $35 a piece.

 Re: New T18 build
Are you planing on running an 8 ohm load?, just making sure you read the post that 220w is at 8 ohms and at 4 ohms the amps went into protection mode when the 2 were bridged

 Re: New T18 build
Yep 8 ohm load. Haven't decided on a driver or install but I figured it was too good of a deal to pass up. I can come up with something to use these for eventually.

 Re: New T18 build
Same here I have 4 spare 10" dayton drivers I bought for a quad loaded TT that was to be in my entertainment center (then I realized I would be within the 2.8 to 9 ft to a wall area) so I scraped that for a THT in the corner idea, I think my first spare parts project will be a 12" TT with the 10" dayton and a $35 plate amp for a computer sub
