Who knows how to set up a behringer dcx2496?

#1 Post by neverendingbeatz »

Finally got one, but when I hooked it up there was no sound. I can see levels on the meter and the amp lights go on but there is no sound.

So I was wondering if there is a mute or something I have not done correctly. Currently I have it set at:

LH-LH-LH
A+B
Analog Out

And I am using two amplifiers, High&mids are patched through channel 1 & 2 and the Subs are patched to 3 & 4?

Any suggestions....

Check the utilities menu and look for the output control screen. It shows the routing for input and output. You rotate the dial to switch it.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

If the signal lights on the amp are lighting then I would say there is another problem.

If the red light at the bottom of an input or output channel on the DCX is lit then it is muted. Press the mute control button and then press the muted channel. The red led will turn off and the input or output unmuted.

Yeah if the signal lights are on on the amp then signal is getting thru that far. No sound must be a problem from then on.
If that's just a misunderstanding and you mean the level meters on the dcx are showing then they may be muted. press the mute button and then press the button below the output you with to mute/unmute. See above. :)

Okay, got it. The default settings have all the channels muted. Thanks ya'll. Now what a good hi pass/low pass for Titan-48's & Otop15's, electronic music.

I would start at about 100Hz and play with it from there, but that's just mt thought. Maybe someone with the combination will chime in.

Cool, glad you got it sorted. :)

I would go 48db/oct LW at 40hz for a pair and 35hz for a quad of t48. Unless you driving them hard and want to play safe. I've run at 40hz for a couple years now with no failures at all sorts of events, indoor outdoor, dj and live.
I guess otop 15s are like dr280 in response and I cross over at 90hz most of the time.

I also do 48 dB/oct for the low cut on my Tubas, then 100 for the top.
