At it again,4 more T-48's
So,I have decided to get started on building 4 more T 48's,24" wide.As I was reading over the plans I notice we were told early on in the plans to clamp the second side to the first and drill thru the pilot holes, then later we are told to clamp the second side to the box, trace inside the driver chamber and horn mouth, remove side, drill holes for fasteners using the traced lines as guides, which way is correct ? I personally like drilling those holes according to the 2nd method.I will be adding pictures to this thread,I can't do it from my phone, image size too big.

Re: At it again,4 more T-48's
I've noticed that, too. I did the 1st method on my last build (AT) since I made 2 access panels. It came out square on the outside, but 1/8" off inside the 2nd panel and chamber. Something must've twisted while glue dried. No big deal but I think either way is fine.

Yeah we also gave up the early drilling out of the 2nd side because the lines were never matching up at the end..

Re: At it again,4 more T-48's
So i got started on the build Saturday,i had a jump start because i had enough BB laying around along with a blown 3015LF so i was able to build the 4 baffles, anchors, rentention blocks and drilled the mounting holes for the drivers.I went to Toledo Ohio and got 10) 4x8 sheets of BB,I had them rip 2 sheets as evenly as possible down the middle and the length for the 8 pieces i would need for 8 sides,i had the other 8 panels ripped into 23" x 8 ft strips.Saturday i made a handle pattern for my router and began.I didnt do anything Sunday and spent ALL DAY today installing panels 1,2,3 and 4,most of the time was spent dry fitting, consulting with Sketchup to make sure i had the correct measurements for the driver chamber and making sure everything was actually square.More to come.
