Hi Charles, I flew the cabs today. I haven't taken pictures yet but ill do so tomorrow and post them. As for the stress calculations, I haven't done any yet but have compared my design with the tassos I used in the pix and mine are as solid as theirs. Id say my design is an over kill for the Otops 12s because those cabs are not so heavy.

Could you get a picture of your rig that is lifting the speakers? I see what looks like a square frame, but I am curious as to how it allows for angling up where the hoist hooks on.

Btw this system looks awesome. I am working on getting my Otops made so I can have a complete system finally.

Those pics are inspiring. But, the OTops, are heavy enough to kill someone. Explain your rigging in detail because, in my church, this is a question that must be addressed.
2X OTop 112, 3012HO, melded - 2X T39, 27", Lab 12 - XF 212 - 4 DR250, 2 melded, 2 straight
2 20" T39 3012LF - WH10 - WH8 - in the shop - 2 more 20" T39s

I plan to have 4 Omnitop J-arrays a side. No higher than 8 feet. Outdoor rig will be encased in scaffolding. Thinking it'd be nice to just get them up off the ground if possible.

The cabs looks heavy but they are about a quarter or even less than what the same rig carries. I will post drawings soon. thanks

Yes please post drawings.
We are making a flying array in the following thread and would benefit from your design and build experience!

Do you have any tips for bending the wood? I am having serious trouble doing so.
