Thinking of building an XF212 in the style of a Vox AC30, 27.5 x 20.25x 10.375 inches. Anyone tried it? It would be tight!

It would be more than tight me thinks. 10 3/8" deep would allow a maximum driver depth of roughly 1 1/2". I'm pretty sure that would make the cab a no goer.

You'd also be adding nearly 4" in cab height, meaning the top of the cab (that you sit your amp on) would have to be smaller, maybe to small.

Adding an extra 1/2" in width means having to work out the measurement to extend the baffles. Or some other method to address the deficit.

Sure, it's DIY, but stick with the plans if you want to build an XF212.
If you do, it will work...

4 x 20" BP102 T39's, 2 x 28" 3012lf loaded underway.
3 x WH8 with melded array.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

You're probably right. It's the idea of the cross firing drivers that appeals plus the aesthetic appeal of the Vox cab! I'll draw it up 1:1 and see if I can squeeze it in. It will only be experimental but it might just work.

If you go open back, the adjustments have less impact, but you still get the benefit of the baffle design.

It would be open back. I'd prefer to tilt the whole cab on a stand rather than rake the baffle back within the shell. The amp chassis would fit inside the cab so the effective height would be much the same as the XF. The difficulty will be getting the drivers to fit without the magnets hanging out at the back
