second last paragraph of paper COMPLETELY nulifies any point that the article tries to make. Seriously if the transient response of a woofer is based on its high frequency output then ALL woofers have bad transient response! The author goes from talking about transient response of a "WOOFER" to making his claims based on how an inductor reduces effiency above 4 khz (no where near a subwoofers passband, and duh! thats what inductors are supposed to do, thats why we use them in crossovers) ... and he says this right after telling us to ignore the fr below 700 hz because it doesn't matter. So which one is it? does it matter or nor? to the author it only matters when he pulls his conclusion out of his ass!
imo the author talks alot and he may even be right but this article doesn't prove anything and his conclusions are based on pure bs. I can prove my opinion too, look at that last graph and notice the red trace goes a couple db's higher than the green or blue trace at 6 k, therefore apple i-phones are better than lg's and fords get stuck more than dodges, but only when you completely ignore when dodges get stuck.
