Re: OTOP 12 JARRAY EQ

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

Does anyone have a 31 band graphic EQ settings suitable for OTop 12? I have a program coming up shortly but have no time on my hands and the tools to do proper calibration of the system. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

[eq eqgain=10&eqtype=2&dbtarget=104]OT12D2512M12[/eq]

The EQ should flatten the more cabs you have, so pull back the correction for every cab you add.

Ignore everything below 100Hz and the scale of the EQ on the left side of the chart is 10dB

For compression drivers ( I have both) the dip at 4k should probably be moved down a bit closer to 2.5 k and not be as deep. The dip at 10k may not be needed or may not be needed as deeply.

Those charts should stop at 100Hz, as you don't want to run the cabs lower than that, and whatever EQ is required below 100Hz would be what the subs need.

I would leave the dip at 4k and also dip 6 and 8k slightly. It is just to remove the sharp edges and pain in the ears for man and woman who are listening. Also it enables your audience to speak to each other instead of screaming into each others ears.
