Autotuba hook up

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

Autotuba hook up

#1 Post by knobert »

hey guys I built a 12 " wide autotuba for a friend, now me not being a car guy how should he set up his amp?

300w amp, turn the boost off but what should he set the HPF and LPF( might be limited to 50hz)

Let me know

We'll need to know more information about the settings available.

Is it one switch that you can change between LPF/OFF/HPF? If so you'd want to set it to LPF

If there's a knob to select the crossover frequency you can set it anywhere from 50-100 hz.

If your deck can do LPF just use that, then set the amplifier to HPF and set it anywhere from 20-40 hz if available.

If nothing else take a picture of it, showing all the knobs and switches, and post it here.

12" panels, 13" finished is the minimum in the plans.

Sorry to hear about the DUI. Hopefully all is well otherwise and he has a new respect of the law without too much of a penalty to pay.

I couldn't begin to count the # of times driving at or above the legal limit.
:wall:

Does your plate amp have HP/LP capability?

My daughters 14" AT is sitting unused at her house, well it's being used as a bench by my Grandson, haha. I'm trying to figure out a way to get it back in my car. ha ha
