DR 250 EQ guide

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

DR 250 EQ guide

#1 Post by cave »

I have finished a pair of DR 250 and a pair of Titan 48. I tested the system with two Bheringer 3000 watts amps. The output power is incredible however, I have to EQ the system. Could anybody help with an EQ graph to guide me?

I will post pictures soon. I must say bills designs are just fantastic.

I have the True RTA which intend using to tune the system but I need help on how to go about it.

I will appreciate 31 band EQ curves (pics) to compare my results

Thanks Bill for a wonderful experience.

Go to the spl charts in the forum. Invert the curves you find for DR250's on your eq. It's easy, then tweak to taste.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

Cool looking speakers!

What if you painted the rest of the cabs white? "BFM cabs- now in black paint, Duratex, and Smurf!"

I am still working on optimizing the response of the system and will publish the results shortly. I must say however that WB's EQ worked great on the system indoors.
