You'll run out of sub before you run out of tops with that combo. Personally, I like the form factor of the OT12 better - the DR bottom and top are angled, making for a harder job of pole mounting more than one and having to use an adjustable tophat even with one. If I was doing a permanent install or had the proper rigging, then DRs would be what I'd do. For smaller gigs (up to 500 or so outside), a pair of OT12s on each side do quite well....and they really shine in the mids when you stack two of 'em.
