Ah you figured out the secret recipe of putting a plug in the pipe. The only kicker to that is the ID of differing brands of pipe varies more than you might think.
I hate cleaning up after cutting these things. Damn electrically charged shavings.
If it's too loud, you're even older than me! Like me.

They are messy alright. As for the differing i.d., i cut a small section of the actual pipe i'm using to trace a circle onto mdf and sand to fit :D

I'm brainstorming for the non-table saw user: Maybe you could make a second jig to go on the other side of the pipe, clamp that together, then use your jig/circular saw to slice it down the middle. Only issue I see is you're cutting through the jigs.
BFM builds:
XF212
T24 BP102 24"
2x SLA's 6-5" mids, 9- gt-302's
2x AT 14" MCM 55-2421
TrT 5" MCM 55-2421
AT 18" JBL GTO804
2x OT12 flat array
2x SLA Pro 2-Alpha 6's 2-Goldwoods
2x T39 24" 3012lf
Simplex 10 BP102

Without a table saw, you can do just like Hotrod did, but add another bit to the top and bottom pieces to make it work like a circular saw sled.
BFM rig:
6 OT12
4 T48
4 WH8
Other:
56 box Electrotec LabQ rig
Way too many cables
