Hi PulseMan
Great looking rig.

I'm busy building my OT12's and really would like to do my grills like you have done yours. They look so pro.

Do you have any close up pics of your cabs from the front showing your grills with the sponge / foam on?

Thanks in advance

I don't really have real close up shots, below is about the best I've got at the moment.

Thanks Bruce for the pic, but I want to put the foam on the outside of the grill like PulseMan's cabs.

Either way, your guys cabs look fantastic and a real inspiration for my build.

Yeah it's a curious setup but it looks pretty damn fine. Is this the case on a lot of pro gear with the foam being external? I can't say it's something that I've noticed but then I don't see all too many stacks around here.

I got the idea when I was on holiday in Europe and attended a festival. Saw this on a high end line array, biggest problem was to find the right foam here in South Africa.

It could be the Kling&Freitag line, they use them on a edm club here but the foam its starting to show tears and that brown color and it needs replacement. :(

You have a very very nice setup there, and look at that amp rack! .

Thanks Truckinve

Luckly I do all the packing and stacking myself, so chances that the foam will get damaged are less.
Although the foam is not that cheap it is pretty easy to replace if need be.
I'm busy with some wedgehorns and a SLA Pro as a centre fill and will also be using the foam over the grills as per my OT12's. :)

Hey PulseMan

Please do post some pics of your Wedgehorns and the SLA Pro when done showing the grills with the foam.

I have started to track down places that might be able to help source that foam. :wall:

Who is the manufacturer of the scaffolding under the OT12 stacks, and what is their size?

I made them myself. They stand 1.6 metres high. The legs are square tubing and the frame is made out of angle iron with a piece of plywood that sits inside the frame which acts as the base. It all bolts together and the bottom of the legs have square plates for feet with holes in them through which I knock pins into the ground. Very stable and the town engineers here have given their approval regarding it's safety :D

Very light and it takes about five minutes per side to assemble

I've used cabs with foam on the outside... Dynacord XA2. I like these cabs with that look!

Bruce,

I know you told me where to get the foam, but I had no luck at wally world or lowes. Can you give me the isle number (jk). But seriously, anyone have an online source or the name of the product at wally world that I'm looking for...

Thanks,
