Just another Jack

#1 Post by IanChad »

I've finally finished my first Jack 110.
Its been in use for quite a few weeks now as I've been putting the finishing touches to it
Tonight I finished the grille so I've taken a few photos to post
The first is the radius jig I made for routing out circular holes. I lifted the idea from another members post but can't remember who. Thanks anyway.

I then cut a baffle template

This next pic show the completed template in my workshop - a 6ft X 8ft shed (can't see me building any T48s in there  )

I don't have any construction pics so here's the finished item.

There's nothing unusual about it,
DLII2510, no filters, no HF section (yet).
Constructed of 12mm BB, covered in rat fur
Grille made from 0.7mm galvanised steel and held to the two uprights (there for a flat tweeter array) by four screws passed through 3/4inch rubber feet.

I've nearly completed the construction of the second J110, just need to make the mounting for the back and make the back panel / braces.
Its been a really enjoyable experience and i've already got plans to build another pair for PA and then a couple of WH8s and then.........
