This weekend the Buck Naked Band (BuckNakedBand.com) played the Wadsworth memorial park in Wadsworth Ohio.
This has to be one of the strangest places to play and somewhat challenging form a PA perspective.
The band plays on a concrete patio and the audience is fifty yards or more away, on the other side of a pond.
My 4 T39s and 4 Otop 12's held their own though. I had ~ 105 decibels in the audience. These things really throw!

Needs more railroad ties to make Dye happy.

Re: Across The Pond
Did any of the audience jump in for a swim while you guys played?
It reminds me of playing on the NCL cruise ship back in the day. Only gig I ever played where the dance floor swayed and the horizon was a constantly changing panorama! Gosh it was fun.
Oh yeah there was the round dance floor at the Quality Inn in Ft Walton beach that did a complete revolution every 3 minutes. It got quite interesting the later it got and the more drinks everyone had.

Nobody got wet but they did have fireworks. The city only had budget for 5 minutes worth so they let them off during the band's last song, which I captured here:
