I have two DR 250s for sale. Eminence Deltalite II 2510 Drivers, melded piezos, powder coated grilles, adjustable top hats.

Asking $500 for the pair. Prefer to not ship. Located in Columbus/Dublin Ohio.

We have had no issues. Just switched to powered speakers. Could probably use a new coat of Duratex. Pics attached.

Best way to contact me is via email - DrDoug018@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Doug Danforth

Why the hell would you switch to powered speakers? Sorry I am biased against powered speakers. They don't make any sense to me. But why from DRs to commercial speakers. Isn't that a sin on this forum.

Simplicity and ease of use. We got QSC KW tops and subs. We run one xlr from the board and daisy chain all 4 speakers. Power and crossovers are built in. We need a lot more power than we used to with the DRs and T39s but a lot less fussing with EQ and such, no worries about blowing speakers, no hauling around racks of amps, etc.

We also switched from SAC to a Soundcraft SI Expression mixing console. Again for simplicity mostly.

Doug

The argument has never been that DIY is inherently better, just that it's cheaper. And it is. There are some good commercial products out there. The prices are accordingly higher. As for active cabs... they are easier to set up and tear down, and take less space.

DrDoug, didn't I buy a pair of dual HL10c T39s from you?

I wish I could snag these DR250s from you... Image
